Frequently asked questions

Does resizing images send them over the internet?

Everything runs right in your browser — your files are never uploaded to any server, keeping them completely private.

When resizing by cm for a 10×15 print, what DPI is used?

The tool sets 300 DPI — the standard for crisp photo prints — and writes the DPI value directly into the JPG/PNG file. For example, a 10×15 cm size at 300 DPI works out to about 1181×1772 pixels. The WebP format has no standard field for storing DPI, so choose JPG or PNG when you need to print.

Will enlarging an image make it look pixelated?

Enlarging with high-quality interpolation makes images look smoother, but it can't create detail that wasn't in the original — blow it up too much and it will still look blurry. For sharp prints, start from an image with high enough resolution.

Can I keep the aspect ratio so the image isn't distorted?

Yes. Turn on 'Keep aspect ratio' and the image is scaled to fit within the dimensions you enter without being stretched. Turn it off if you want to force an exact width×height.
