Redact image
Hide sensitive information on an image (ID numbers, addresses, faces...) by blacking out or blurring — right on your machine. Images never leave your machine.
The image redaction tool helps you hide sensitive information (Vietnamese ID card (CCCD) numbers, addresses, license plates, faces) before sharing.
Drag to draw the areas you want to cover, then choose black out (which truly erases the pixels) or blur. Everything runs right on your device — your images are never uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions
Does redacting an image send my image online?
Everything runs right in your browser — your files are never uploaded to any server, keeping them completely private.
Can the information underneath a black-out be recovered?
No. Black-out mode overwrites the pixels with solid black and then exports a new image — the information underneath is truly erased and cannot be extracted from the resulting file. This is the safest method for documents.
Should I choose black out or blur?
Black out is absolutely safe (it fully erases the data) and is ideal for ID card numbers and addresses. Blur only hides things visually and preserves the look of the image, but it's less secure — use it when you just need to make the content harder to read.
